Bill Balfrey's family came to the remote Northern CA town of Etna by covered wagon in the 1850's. As Bill was growing up he made friends with the Smith brothers Bill and Ralph, who, in the early 1900's, delivered the mail by mule train from Etna to Sawyers Bar and points down river. Come along with the two Bills, Ralph, and others as they take us back to a time when tunnels had to be hand dug through 30 food snowdrifts, the mules wore snowshoes, and the mail was delivered.
