  I completely disagree, that pony is giving to the bit, if you knew anything about mules you could be confident in saying most will gap their mouths when they feel like it. If this mule had pain in his mouth his head would be in that little girls face. Go cry your spca b.s. someplace else.

  dont guess some people have heard of or know about the term "hard mouthed". if not might want to educate yourself

  If you look real hard there are kids riding the mule not a adult who would know better. give the kids a break they dont know better

  the October picture is disgusting!!!
  all other photos are really beautiful, but the October picture is rather a case for the RSPCA than for a fun calendar: such levers at the mouth piece should - if necessary at all - only be used for fine communication - which is obviously not the case on the picture: this mule has PAIN in its mouth!!!
